Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Produce Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Store Layout and Product Merchandising: Create an engaging and visually appealing store environment that showcases our products and drives sales.
• Work with Team Leader to Achieve Sales and Labor Targets: Collaborate with the Team Leader to set and achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, ensuring the department is running efficiently and effectively.
• Assist with Sales and Labor Analysis: Help the Team Leader analyze sales and labor reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement to optimize department performance.
• Develop Advanced Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on new products and developments in the produce industry, ensuring our customers receive expert advice and guidance.
• Maintain Vendor Relationships: Foster strong relationships with our vendors, ensuring timely and effective communication and issue resolution.
• Resolve Team Concerns and Issues: Work with the Team Leader to resolve any team concerns or issues, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Lead the Department in Absence of Team Leader: Demonstrate leadership skills and take charge of the department in the absence of the Team Leader, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills. Ability to teach others in a positive and constructive manner. Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures. Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
