Job SummaryAs a Prepared Foods Department Supervisor at Whole Foods Market, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Prepared Foods team. This includes assisting with scheduling and supervision, maintaining the quality and appearance of products, and ensuring a positive customer experience. You will work closely with the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Associate Team Leader to achieve the highest standards of retail execution and foster a positive team environment.Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and delegate tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members, ensuring that they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
• Work with the Prepared Foods Trainer to develop and implement training programs that build a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Assist in training new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated inventory of products, adhering to established procedures for opening and closing the department.
• Ensure that all Team Members receive necessary breaks and communicate any concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution, prioritizing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Foster a positive team environment, promoting outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
• Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations, consistently communicating and modeling Whole Foods Market's vision and goals.Required Skills and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
  • Strong demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to teach others in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Product knowledge and proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.Desired Work Experiences
